WHO WE ARE
FireWorks Restaurant opened in downtown Lincoln, Nebraska in December 2002. As Lazlo’s Brewery & Grill’s more adventurous sister, we keep the tradition of from-scratch cooking, house-brewed ales and teamwork service. In February 2007, our restaurant relocated to its current home: a state-of-the-art, energy-efficient building at 5750 South 86th Drive in southeast Lincoln.
Our current FireWorks Restaurant building is an environmental leader in the industry. We custom-designed it to feature strategically positioned windows, skylights and a self-sustainable geothermal heating and cooling system. In 2009, we carried our eco-friendly efforts to the outdoors. FireWorks installed a 5,400 square foot rain garden containing more than 3,200 native plants, shrubs and trees. The self-sufficient rain garden captures pollutants from rain water runoff, and serves as a beautiful rest stop for users of the Billy Wolff bike trail.
Today, FireWorks Restaurant Lincoln remains a neighborhood gathering place built around wood-fired cooking and from-scratch food.

Homemade meals and signature dishes.
The day starts early in the prep kitchen. Soups simmer for hours, dressings and sauces are made in-house. Vegetables chopped, burgers hand-pattied, dough tossed. Meats spend the day turning slowly on the rotisserie, filling the space with the smell of hickory long before the doors open.
Wood-fired by design
Our menu is built around live-fire cooking, using a wood-fired grill, rotisserie, and pizza oven fueled solely by aromatic hickory wood. These methods shape everything we serve, adding depth, bold flavors, and character you can’t get any other way.
Quality ingredients, chosen carefully
We serve fresh, never frozen Certified Angus Beef® burgers for unbelievable taste and quality. Our steaks are Certified Angus Beef® brand aged 21 days for maximum tenderness. We fly in only the freshest fish for quality that can’t be topped.
Craft Beer & Bar Experience
In-house brewing and a full service bar
FireWorks serves Empyrean Brewing Co., our in-house brewery. Brewed in Lincoln and available only at FireWorks and Lazlo’s Brewery & Grill. Empyrean beers are crafted to pair naturally with our menu, from core favorites to rotating seasonals.
Beyond beer, our bar offers a thoughtful selection of craft cocktails and curated wines, including weekly features like Wine Down Wednesday. Whether you’re settling in for happy hour or pairing a drink with dinner, the bar is part of the experience.
