FireWorks in the Community

We proudly support numerous charities through donations and volunteerism. As a corporation, we've adopted a handfull of charities whose missions align closely with our corporate values.

Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF)

JDRF is the leading charitable funder and advocate of Type 1 Diabetes research worldwide. The mission of JDRF is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research. With the belief that together we can make a difference in the fight against type 1 diabetes, FireWorks Restaurant employees participate annually in the “Walk to Cure Diabetes” collecting donations on behalf of JDRF; the corporation also generously supports the Dream Gala.

Tabitha Meals on Wheels

For over 50 years and through more than 4.5 million deliveries, Tabitha Meals on Wheels has been providing food and a smile to friends and neighbors all across Lincoln. Serving shut-ins, seniors and those with disabilites, volunteers deliver 500 hot meals a day, 365 days a year. In addition, Tabitha’s service provides a valuable face-to-face safety check for the many medically vulnerable individuals who may not see another person all day.

Food Bank of Lincoln

The Food Bank of Lincoln gathers and redistributes surplus food to hungry people in 16 counties in southeast Nebraska. Because food is our passion, FireWorks Restaurant is honored to participate in the Food Bank’s annual “Empty Bowls Luncheon” and “Dine Out to Help Out” program.

TeamMates

The mission of TeamMates is to positively impact the world by inspiring youth to reach their full potential. The TeamMates Mentoring Program began in 1991 with the vision of University of Nebraska Head Football Coach Tom Osborne and his wife Nancy. TeamMates has more than 5,600 matches (roughly 5,600 mentors, 5,600 youth) in 112 communities across Nebraska, Iowa and California.

Request a Donation

In addition to our adopted charitites, we strive to support a wide variety of not for profit organizations, schools, families and groups -- both big and small -- who operate within our communities. As such, representatives from nonprofit organizations are invited to request a donation by completing our online form.
